Here, we designed successive annual reports for Aggregate Industries – a major manufacturer and supplier of construction and building materials. Initially, we were asked to design a landmark communication piece for their stakeholders, which incorporated a newly introduced standardisation, using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) methodology.
Themed material, including section titles: Workplace; Marketplace; Community; and Environment; featured case studies, performance data, and written interpretation and commentary about specific initiatives. The content was all designed within the parameters of their existing brand guidelines. We also assisted with sub-editing, structure, imagery and proofing. It was important that the format also worked well in terms of legibility and readability on screen as a PDF document download version from the company’s website.
Subsequent reports included infographics – representing key data and information – this provided an opportunity to be more experimental with layouts and visuals as well as implementing interesting formats and finishes.Other projects
